Wind Waker HD (Director's Cut?) Avalible for Pre-Order

Announced on January 23rd, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker for the gamecube, will be revamped and re released onto the Wii U. With this, we are going to see a complete overhaul in the graphics department, and hopefully some new features that coincide with the GamePad controller. But what else does Nintendo have in store for us?

During the development of this game, more than ten years ago, the creators were strained to reach a deadline in turn they had to make some cuts. Game director Eiji Aunoma admitted that two of the game’s dungeons were nixed for time. Parts of these original dungeons can be found in the game’s source code as well. And with the upcoming re-release of Wind Waker, this leads me to believe that Nintendo might have a little surprise for all of us. Maybe not just a graphic and engine overhaul, but a full fledged Director's cut, including these two unused dungeons left out from the original.
While this sounds a bit too good to be true, it isn't entirely out of the question. Nintendo released Link's Awakening in 1993 on the Gameboy, 5 years later Nintendo re-released this game as a directors cut on their newest hand held, the Gameboy color. With the directors cut to Link's Awakening the game now was in color, and an extra dungeon was implemented to showcase this idea of colors. Upon completion of the dungeon you can select between a blue or red tunic which enhances your defensive or attacking powers respectful of your decision.
What I'm trying to get at is that we have seen this before, and for Nintendo to implement two unused dungeons from the original into the Director's Cut remake, is not too far fetched.  There is another reason I think a Directors cut is not out of the question. Take a look at this screen shot.

Now do you remember a time in Wind Waker when Tetra and Link were ever on Windfall Island together, besides the scene in the bomb shop? I don't. So what does this mean? Well everything, or quite possibly nothing. This could possibly be hinting at new game play elements that we haven't seen in the original, backing up my theory for a director's cut. Now, I do understand that this very well be in sole attempt to show case the graphics engine and prove meaningless to the story and game, serving as a slight coincidence. But as a theorist I am not allowed to believe in coincidence. I'll let you decide on your own.

To wrap this up nicely Gamestop is already taking pre orders for this game, which took me by surprise when I saw it. But it is legit. Link to the page will be below
