How the Triforce could Change the Future of the Zelda Franchise

When the three Golden goddesses left the land of Hyrule, that they created, they left in their absence three pieces of their individual power to keep balance in the lands. the three pieces power were together known as the Triforce, and became known as the most powerful objects in the land, the desired by the evil and feared by the normal. Each of the pieces of Triforce have a personality trait associated with them and their possible owner. These traits are power for the goddess Din, wisdom for the goddess Nayru, and courage for the goddess Farore. These pieces when put together and touched by someone, give the user any wish of his/her desire. the only problem with this is, the Triforce itself has no discrimination of good versus evil, so anyone has the ability to use its power. When the Triforce is not whole it is usually contained inside someone in the Land of Hyrule, but the ways to obtain a piece of a Triforce and the implications made about the reception of a piece, leave open the possibilities for some very obscure Zelda titles.

Announced on January 23rd, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker for the gamecube, will be revamped and re released onto the Wii U. With this, we are going to see a complete overhaul in the graphics department, and hopefully some new features that coincide with the GamePad controller. Finding Your Inner Link

I've decided to start this blog off with a bang by discussing the essence of the Zelda franchise, Link, our hero in green. Link is the main protagonist of the Zelda series and is the only playable character in almost all of the Zelda games, excluding the CD-i games and some other rare examples. For over two thousand years of Hyrulean history, our master sword wielding assailant has protected the world against total evil and certain doom, beating this evil against all odds across a multidimensional timeline split into three separate entities following the Ocarina of Time (but i will discuss the timeline in a different post). Link has faced almost impending doom in several situations and faced with his brave stance and his always calming silence. Link by far one of, if not the, greatest first player character in any video game of all time not due to his spectacular abilities or his stunning feats, but because of his ability to relate to the character  and through his ability to allow the player to live out a fantasy through him.

A Quick Overview

For my post I would just like to have a quick overview of what this blog will discuss. This blog will obviously discuss the Legend of Zelda franchise, but it will be looked at from many different angles. I will discuss the the greatness of Zelda games, the quirks of individual games, the future of Zelda (news), and then Zelda analysis; such as how Zelda affects us as individuals and how the franchise relates to things such as religion, politics, and interpersonal relationships. I will attempt to post at least once a week with topics most likely having no rhyme or reason in the sense of order. Thank for reading and please subscribe. -BF
